This week I have been super busy. Usually everything sort of slows down over the holidays and new years, but every spare moment I have I spend FMQ.
Unfortunately I cant share too much about what I'm quilting, as this quilt I'm busy with is a birthday present, hopefully I don't give away too much from these pictures.
I am trying my hand at several different FMQ designs. I suppose its NOT wise to try out and 'practice' on a real quilt, but I'm really pushed for time, so I rely on instinct and of course to not go too far out of my comfort zone.
It cant be all work and no play, so my kids demand some 'play' time too, and what better way than to splash in the pool with them. Summer wont last forever...

Happy quilting.
Around here we long for the weather that would allow some time at the pool. Your kids seem to be having a great time.
ReplyDeleteOur summer days shoot up to 34 degrees Celsius on some days (93 degrees Fahrenheit). Sometimes its even worse taking the humidity into account. I always have to keep the sunblock close, especially with the little ones.
DeleteWhat a tantilizing peek of your FMQ - looks great. And oh how I envy you hot sunny days! x
ReplyDeleteThanks Sonia, I am at that point where I just want to get this quilt done, it took months of planning, I've never designed a quilt before, this was my 1st.
DeleteI really like your background filler in the cream areas. What great texture! Your birthday present recipient is going to be very lucky indeed!
ReplyDeleteThanks Christa, time is running out real fast and have to get it done real soon..

DeleteYour quilting looks awesome! Oh that must have been nice to swim with kids. They're adorable. It must be nice to have warm weather, its freezing here. We try to stay indoor these days :-).
ReplyDeleteThanks Malini. Although our summer heat is sometimes unbearable, I don't complain.. I really don't like winter.
