Anything Goes - Quilt 'n Sew #8 - Joining pieces of batting

Have you joined pieces of batting together?

Well the other day I decided to use up pieces of batting instead of cutting up a large piece for Kayleigh's quilt I'm busy quilting now.  I found a tutorial from Made by ChrissieD, and thought you'd enjoy seeing how, click HERE for a step by step tutorial.

But now it's time for this week's linky party

It's Monday and a new week, so lets all share some of our projects, please link up any current project you've been busy with, anything at all....this link is open for a week and will run every Monday.  So remember if you forget to link up today, you still have the rest of the week to add something.  Remember to come back next week, or follow my blog to get regular updates.

If you wish, feel free to add any other blog posts you write during the week, since this linky stays open for a full week, I think its a great idea to share and keep sharing...

All I ask is that you either add the 'Anything Goes' blog button to your sidebar or add a text link to your blog post, and comment on a few of the other links too, share the love and make this weekly linky party a fun way to connect.

Happy quilting

Thanks for sharing! I have not sewn batting together, but did pull my pieces out last time and then chickened out. This will give me the info I need to follow through next time!

Thanks for being such a great hostess, Marelize! Looking forward to seeing everyone's spring projects. And to seeing Kayleigh's finished quilt.

I've never actually used battting yet--have been using a double layer of flannel for the batting of my quilty projects!

What a neat coincidence. I was poking around doing blog maintenance, and I noticed that I had the images for a tutorial on piecing batting sitting unused, so I wrote up a tutorial on "Frankenstein Batting." I like to learn from lots of different perspectives and hope my tutorial is helpful to others, too.

Hi I piece batting by hand when basting my quilts, just a big loopy zigag with double thread and a big needle

Thanks for the linky. I hope to linky up frequently. And the batting tutorial is just what I needed.
