I mainly created a blog, not only to share my personal progress, but I'm doing this purely out of self gratification, and to track my personal growth. I am new at sewing, and have so much to learn. Thus far my interest is piecing quilts and quilting them using free motion quilting. I am following Leah Day's Free Motion Quilt Along, http://freemotionquilting.blogspot.com/ and even though she is at week 11 I am eager to catch up.
I have pieced two quilts thus far, quilted the 1st poorly, the blocks did not align properly. But as it was my 1st quilt, I was still proud and eager to start another.
This pattern was published in a local magazine - Craftwise

Hi, thanks so much! I am sure I have a lot to learn and this way I can basically see my own progress and have others inputs and help when I get stuck.
Thank you Rashida, I cant wait to start my next project. I plan on making a denim quilt from old worn out, or either too large/small denims that a stacked away.
Welcome to the world of blogging! You are doing a wonderful job in your new interest - the quilts are great! Nice to 'meet' someone from SA. I'm from Indiana, USA
