Thus far I have randomly made a few quilts, wall hangings, totes and bits in between. Yet I have so many techniques I want to learn.
Paper Foundation piecing is one of them, so this year I am going to commit to a few BOM's, learning
paper foundation piecing and random quilt blocks.
So I've signed up for the following BOM's, mainly to work on my piecing skills and at the end of the year I will end up with at least 3 beautiful quilts.
With regards to free motion quilting, I plan to this year follow
Leah Day's Free Motion Quilting more strictly and she has planned this beautiful
Express Your Love quilt that we'll be working on, not exactly sure how we'll go about making it, but from what I understand we'll learn different piecing techniques to make this and then of course to FMQ it too. I really look forward to make this...
And in between I want to learn "No sewing till you quilt it". I bought the book from
Day Styles Designs, and am totally intrigued by this technique. (Images from Day Styles Designs)
It might seem like a lot, but I'm sure I can do it... I think :-)
I'm certain if I have a schedule all worked out, I can do it...
Happy quilting.

Oh wow - that does sound like a busy (and exciting!) year. The BOM's sound fun x
Yes! Ann's technique is going to be perfect for the goddess quilt. I'm planning on putting one together myself and show free motion zig zag applique sometime this year, so you're on the right track!
You have a great plan for the year! I am also doing the paper piecing BOM club as I have not done any yet and I really want to learn. It will be fun seeing how we progress. I am stopping by from the WIP hop, I would love to have you come by and see what I have been up to :) http://domesticdeficitdisorder.blogspot.com/2013/01/wip-wednesday.html

I want to get started as soon as possible, but need to go fabric shopping 1st... Another fun part, lol
I was thinking the same thing, to piece your design using her technique, and follow your blog along the way. Thanks for stopping by my blog, its really an honor :-)
I am really looking forward to this years projects, I still have to do fabric shopping, will have to get to it this weekend...
I'm doing the Lucky Stars BOM too! It looks fun and I am excited to practice my paper piecing skills. I'm off to look at the others you posted, I am always looking for something new to participate in. :)
