UFO Sunday - Cross Stitch

Another little sewing bug that bit me, is cross-stitching.  I found the chart for this piece I'm currently busy with HERE.  There are 100's to download for free.  Over the Christmas break, my husband would either play X-Box games, be out in the garden, or he was busy making my shelves and tables for my sewing room, and figured since we don't get to spend a lot of time together that at least this way, I can keep busy with something creative and still be in each other's company.  It's been sitting on the shelf for a couple of weeks now, so since things are back to normal with work and school I thought of carrying on at night...

Another UFO, almost a FO is this 'birthday' quilt I'm working on...  Don't worry, the time is really close for me to share this with all of you, so keep a look out for this secret project.  I did share some of the FMQ here.

Hand sewing the binding
Kayleigh cuddling with the quilt when I left for just a second

I made these hearts from the scraps of my Twister Quilt..  Valentines day is around the corner

Remember to come back on Monday to link up to "Anything Goes - Quilt 'n Sew"

Happy quilting.

You have a wide variety of projects going. I've recently rediscovered having one or two hand projects go along with one or two machine projects. It works for me.

You are very versatile - cross-stitch and quilting - makes me want to start one of my cross-stitching projects that have been left a long while. That's a great way to use fabric scraps too. Your projects are VERY pretty!

I love to cross-stitch when I'm not busy quilting. Haven't done it since we moved - where do you suppose I put my cross-stitch UFOs?

I'm not sure I need to go look at the page you linked to - free patterns. I already have more than I can possibly finish in a lifetime. But I am off to do that ... thanks, I think.

I understand having a project going so that you can keep company with the kids. That is why I took up knitting so I could watch their movies with them but be busy at the same time. Stopping by from Plum and June.

I still have an enormous needlework stash though I haven't needlepointed or cross-stitched in a long time.
