A while ago I made a few cathedral window pincushions and shared with you a tutorial to make a scissor pouch to go with them, which you can find HERE. I adore them, its simple to make, is really nice gifts and are very useful around my sewing room.
When you follow the instruction to make this size pincushion you start out with a 10½ inch piece of white fabric and you end up with a 3½ inch square cushion.
But it got me thinking, how small can you actually make them? So I played around, again....
Yep, I like to play around, experiment and try out silly things, but just look at where my silliness got me!
The finished size of this adorable teeny tiny cute cathedral window key chain are 1½ inches.. yeah I got a bit tongue tied too, LOL.
These little pincushions suddenly turned into the cutest little key chains. I followed the exact instructions to make them as I did the pincushions except that the first white piece of fabric you start out with is 4½ inches. I also added a little strap to attach to a key ring.
Give it a try, I bet you'll find very small bit of scraps in you trash bin just right for the job.
But now it's time for this week's linky party
It's

Those are so cute! I've wanted to try a cathedral window for a while but I'm kind of scared. This may be the perfect thing to make and see if I can do it.
PS - I've added your party logo to my Link Parties page.

These are so awesome. I always feel guilty throwing scaps away. Now I have a way to use even small scraps. I'm going to bookmark this page.
